序數詞是指表示順序的數詞，如：first、second、third、fourth等，縮寫為1st、2nd、3rd、4th等；基數詞是指用來描述事物數量多少的數詞，如：one、two、there、four、five、six、seven、eight、nine、ten等。

1、序數詞：

（1）序數詞是指表示順序的數詞，主要應用于英語語法中，在漢語中是表示為第幾。如果是在生日中，描述你出生的日期時，也會用到序數詞。比如：May-first （5月1日）。

（2）序數詞也可以用縮寫形式來表示。主要縮寫形式有：first1st、second2nd、third3rd、fourth4th、sixth6th、twentieth20th、twenty-third23rd等。

（3）序數詞在句中可作主語、賓語、定語和表語。

2、基數詞：

（1）是用來描述事物數量的多少的數詞。什么是基數，在數學上的理解是可以比較大小的數字，而英語中的基數詞是用于來描述事物數量的多少。

（2）寫法為one、two、three、four、five、six、seven、nine、ten、eleven、twelve、thirteen、fourteen、fifteen等。

（3）基數詞在句中可作主語、賓語、定語、表語、同位語。

例如：

做賓語Ineedthreealtogether.

作定語Fourstudentsareplayingvolleyballoutside.

作表語Wearesixteen.
