倒裝句分為完全倒裝和部分倒裝。完全倒裝是指謂語位于主語之前，一般順序是副詞+謂語+主語。例如：Down fell the man.（副詞down，謂語動詞fell，主語the man）Down he fell.（副詞down，主語是代詞he，謂語動詞fell，當(dāng)主語是代詞的時(shí)候，無需倒裝）諸如in/out/up/down/off/away/over/back這些副詞放在句首，句子就要倒裝。There/here/now/then/thus放在句首的時(shí)候，要全部倒裝。Here are the books.There goes the bell.Now comes your turn.There be句型是典型的完全倒裝。部分倒裝則是情態(tài)動詞/助動詞/be動詞+主語+謂語的順序。例如：Only+狀語放在句首，部分倒裝如：Only then did I realize the importance.（only+狀語then，did I realize 部分倒裝，助動詞did+主語I+謂語動詞realize）Only in this way can you fool him.（only+狀語in this way，can you fool 部分倒裝，情態(tài)動詞can+主語you+謂語動詞fool）Only when the class is over, can I see her.（only+when引導(dǎo)的狀語從句放句首，從句不倒裝，主句要到裝）Not until放句首如：Not until midnight did it stop raining.Not only...but also...前倒后不倒如：Not only did he learn from books but also (he learned from) practice.[因?yàn)槔圪槪蓪⒗ㄌ杻?nèi)容省略]Neither...nor...前后均倒裝
