The Eskimos reside in the northern regions of North America, close to the Arctic Circle, where temperatures are extremely cold. The term "Eskimo" is derived from the Indian word for "raw meat eater." This region is home to hardy deer herds, and the Eskimos primarily hunt these animals for sustenance. They also engage in sea hunting, targeting seals and occasionally venturing out to sea in search of whales.The Eskimos craft their garments from the hides of deer, a material that provides excellent warmth. They predominantly reside in wooden homes, though the temperature inside these dwellings may not be excessively high. Additionally, there is a type of dwelling known as an igloo, constructed from blocks of ice which, after the application of water, fuse together to form a sturdy and well-insulated structure. It is reported that igloos maintain their integrity and offer a warm environment.
