1. 用作形容詞或代詞，主要用于否定句，疑問句和條件從句，用以代替相應(yīng)肯定句中的 some。當any用于否定句時，按英語習(xí)慣，它只能出現(xiàn)在否定詞之后，而不能在否定詞之前。如：No one took the slightest notice of him.沒人對他有任何注意。誰也沒有祝賀我生日快樂。誤：Any one didn’t wish me a happy birthday.正：No one wished me a happy birthday.2. any若用于肯定句，則表示“任何”之意。如：Any one of the plans will do.這些計劃中的任何一個都行。Any dictionary will give you the meaning of these words.只要是本詞典，就會給出這些詞的詞義。3. any 表示“任何”，指三者或三者以上的任何一個，不能指兩者中的任意一個；若指兩者中的任意一個，要用 either。如：道路兩旁商店林立。誤：There are stores on any side of the street.正：There are stores on either side of the street.4. 有時用作副詞，用在比較級之前表示程度（主要用于否定句或疑問句）。如：Do you feel any better today?你今天感覺好點兒了嗎？It isn’t safe to go any farther in this fog.在這大霧里再往前走是不安全的。
